Lacy Phillips is a global manifestation expert, speaker, and founder of To Be Magnetic, an online manifestation education and media company. She specializes in finding alignment and unblocking beliefs of unworthiness using her unique manifestation process backed by neuroscience, psychology, and energetic insights. The To Be Magnetic community has grown to tens of thousands around the world and led to the creation of The Expanded Podcast, manifestation courses, and The Pathway, their signature membership program.

The Challenge: Prioritizing Authenticity in an Online World 

Creators understand the importance of choosing a niche. In Lacy’s case, her niche chose her. 

“I have the gift of claircognizance and one day when I was in meditation, I heard a voice say, ‘you know a form of manifestation that nobody has ever taught before,’” she recalls. “‘If you don’t put it out into the world, you will be in poverty your whole life.’” 

Lacy began sharing her personal manifestation method with others through coaching and workshops, officially launching her practice in 2015. It didn’t take long for people to start requesting she make her teachings available online, and that’s when she created The Pathway, an all-access digital membership program. 

As To Be Magnetic has grown, Lacy has continued to focus on authenticity and alignment. Anything they pursue in business has to feel fully aligned and beneficial to their audience, which is why they prioritize digital products over any other type of revenue stream, such as platform-based ad revenue. 

“We have always 100% followed our intuition instead of trying to adhere to trends, and it’s never, ever failed us,” says Lacy. “Whenever we try to follow a fad, even just a little, we fall flat on our faces. I truly believe that being totally authentic is the key to success.”

Another key to her goal of showing up authentically online is to have a separate, personal Instagram account that is authentic to her and doesn’t serve to sell or promote anything. “That way people have access to the real me rather than feeling like they are being sold something,”  says Lacy. “I believe this builds more trust and transparency with our community.”

The Solution: Finding a Membership Platform That Scaled With Her Business 

To Be Magnetic tried many different platforms to house The Pathway, including Memberspace, Zapier, and Mighty Networks. They also used Teachable – however, as the membership program grew, it outgrew the platform. 

“We experienced platform limitations that were causing issues for our members' experience,” Lacy recalls. “This impacted their membership plans and billing as well as not having an app or additional supportive features for our course products.”

In her search for a more robust platform that would provide both a seamless member experience and all-in-one solutions, To Be Magnetic made the switch to Kajabi.

Results: Increasing Membership by 25%

One of the first changes To Be Magnetic implemented after migrating to Kajabi was enabling a payment plan for their 12-month membership using Kajabi Payments. They also set up a branded mobile app experience to support members on the go, and it was important that it felt custom and was easy for members to use. 

Since switching to Kajabi, To Be Magnetic has seen a 25% increase in its member base. The company hosts their membership, community, and courses on Kajabi and earns seven figures annually.

“It is a game changer to have email marketing, community, and funnel capabilities all within the same platform that we host our courses,” says Lacy. 

Looking Ahead: Sharing Her Manifestation Method With a Wider Audience 

As the To Be Magnetic community continues to grow, Lacy is looking forward to sharing her manifestation methods with even more people. She even has a book coming out in 2025 with Penguin Random House. 

“Our goal is to make this the most accessible and actionable process of manifestation (backed by neuroscience and psychology), so that literally anyone can manifest the life they desire and deserve,” says Lacy. 

Her advice for other creators who are putting themselves and their businesses out into the world? Be utterly authentic. 

“Even if the product you’re selling is in a saturated space,” she says, “it doesn’t matter — just be totally authentic to yourself and your mission. If you are starting a company that sells rare coins, there will be a niche audience out there that loves and buys your curation of rare coins. Don’t be afraid. Just start now and be authentic.”
