You’ve asked and we’ve listened. We’re excited to announce that you can soon start sending your Kajabi marketing emails from your own custom domain.

Custom Email Domain Sending can improve your email marketing and ultimately, help your business be more successful.

How can Custom Email Domain Sending boost your business?

Email marketing is an indispensable way to grow your business. It’s proven to increase sales, boost engagement and maintain a connection with your customers.

Sending from a custom email domain allows your emails to come from your specific, unique domain. For example, a cooking teacher/knowledge entrepreneur like Carl could send business emails that would come from his Cooking With Carl domain.

Before this new feature, emails you sent through Kajabi would use your custom “from” address, but they’d come from a shared Kajabi domain. Sending from the “Kajabimail.net” shared domain is beneficial because it allows you to leverage Kajabi’s strong sender reputation. But many of you have asked for the ability to send from your own domain, for good reason.

Sending emails from your custom domain can be beneficial in many ways:

  • It creates a stronger sense of trust with your customers. With your custom domain, they recognize your brand and know these emails are authentically coming from your business.
  • It further builds your brand by putting it in front of customers and prospects more often, so that it’s more memorable.
  • You can leverage that improved trust and branding to take your email marketing to the next level and make more sales.

We’ve already seen Kajabi Heroes do amazing things with their email marketing campaigns. Custom Domain Email Sending gives you even more powerful ways to connect with your customers.

Note: this new feature will only affect marketing emails. It won’t apply to transactional emails like purchase confirmations and more. Additionally, it will only be available for paying customers, not those in the free trial period.

When can you start sending custom domain emails?

We'd love to roll this out to everyone immediately, but like everything email-related, it must be done in a careful and deliberate way. This is because it could have an impact on your sender reputation and on the deliverability of your marketing emails.

That's why we’ll be rolling this new feature out over the next few months. Without getting too into the email weeds, let’s explain the reasons why.

Your mail stream is the link between your business, the sending domain, the email service provider and your customers' inboxes. Any changes to your mail stream can impact email sender reputation. The sender reputation is important for emails to get delivered and for them not to land in spam filters.

Kajabi sends roughly 8 million emails a day. When you send one of your emails from a shared  Kajabi domain, your emails use the positive sender reputation we've built over the years.

For those of you itching to use your own custom domain, don't worry, you won't have to build your sender reputation from scratch. Custom domains still use Kajabi’s shared mail servers, so you'll still be able to take advantage of our trusted, established relationships with email service providers.

And of course, you can always expect Kajabi to be at your side if you have any questions. You can reach out to Support at any time with questions related to Custom Email Domain Sending or anything else. Additionally, we've put together a detailed article that outlines the parts of the mail stream.

Once the custom email domain feature has been enabled for your account, you’ll receive a notification directing you to your Email Marketing Settings where you can initiate the setup.
