As an infopreneur, sooner or later you’ll find that you need to customize or change something on your website. And despite having extensive design flexibility, sometimes there’s just no solution other than to delve into the code.

It can be daunting to try to learn how to program. And if nothing else, the pandemic has forced us to take a clear look at the advantages and disadvantages of online classes. Despite all of the sudden changes and uprooting of our routines, the pros of online classes far outweigh the cons, which has led many infopreneurs to take the plunge and learn how to code.

You’re about to meet seven such amazing infopreneurs who are using Kajabi to help them reach their entrepreneurial goals while teaching others how to expand their possibilities using coding skills.

Avadhesh Yadav - Kajabi Designer Club

Avadhesh created the Kajabi Designer Club to help Kajabi users who want to extend the core functionality of Kajabi but aren’t web designers or developers. Many of his students have tried to hire a freelancer on another site — and paid upwards of $150/hour or more — only to get a half-baked result.

Avadhesh notes, “I have been a coder for many many years. Earlier I used to custom code on Wordpress, then moved to Kajabi a few years ago. I have set this membership to help Kajabians to add features to their pages and website that Kajabi does not have natively. These features make the Kajabi pages look different from the rest.”

His course is specifically meant for “non-designers” — people who don’t have any prior coding knowledge or who have spent hours trying to figure it out themselves but have come no closer to achieving their goal.

He notes, “I assist Kajabians by sharing code plus how-to tutorials on how to implement the code. I also take requests from the members on what features they would like to add to their Kajabi pages. This is my attempt to help a larger pool of Kajabians.”

In addition to teaching the actual coding behind the design, Avadhesh shares helpful snippets of the most-requested functionalities to further extend what Kajabi can do.

That means each month, members always get something new that they can apply to their pages right away. Avadhesh not only codes and designs around Kajabi, he also uses it to host his course and membership, making him an infopreneur that truly “walks the walk.”

Sharon Faust - Quick Base Junkie

Sharon Faust teaches her students how to get the most out of Quickbase, a low-code platform that allows users to create custom business applications, such as databases, workflows, and forms without the need for extensive programming knowledge. It can be used for tasks such as project management, customer relationship management, and inventory tracking, plus allows for collaboration and data sharing between multiple users. It's often used by small-to-medium-sized businesses, as well as departments within larger organizations.

Sharon runs her website Quick Base Junkie on Kajabi. Her courses teach Quickbase users how to get the most out of the platform through understanding Relationships, Text Formulas, Custom Buttons, HTML, APIs, Jinja, and more. This helps users save time, improve efficiency, and extend what’s possible with Quickbase.

Since being introduced to Quickbase nearly a decade ago, Sharon has found a passion for building and automating workflows. Now, she’s eager to share her knowledge and expertise with other individuals who want to do more with Quickbase and optimize their business processes. She helps them achieve this and more without having to write complex code.

The Quick Base Junkie courses and reference materials allow Quickbase builders to quickly learn new skills and transform processes that were once complex and confusing. With her online training, her students are able to streamline the learning process, stop copy/pasting formulas they can't maintain, and maximize their investment in Quickbase.

JomaClass

JomaClass features over 80 high-quality videos as of this writing. These videos run the gamut from data science to software engineering and everything in between. They include training on how to start learning Python programming, how to use SQL for data analysis, understanding data structure and algorithms, and much more.

Another excellent benefit of Jomaclass is that at the end of every unit is a practical, project-based assignment, so students can build their programming portfolios as they continue to learn!

Jodee Peevor - UnlockedClub

If you’ve ever found yourself asking, “I wish Kajabi could…,” you’re in luck. Because UnlockedClub takes Kajabi customization to the next level.

No one wants to pay hundreds of dollars for third-party configurations that try to duct tape together a piece-meal solution. Jodee saw an opportunity to “unlock” what’s possible with Kajabi.

She notes, “We unlock the Kajabi code to do some truly awesome customisation for Kajabi customers — we love how much Kajabi allows us to customise. I've been building online businesses since 2005 and moved to work more closely with Kajabi back in late 2015 — it's been amazing — we've been custom coding since 2018 and started the club this January [2021] where our members get to request what we code each month.”

Having only started earlier this year, Jodee has already created some amazing options for Kajabi users, including quizzes (with scoring), site templates, fantastic landing page features, and much more.

She has also pioneered the adoption of the hashtag #kajabipurist which shuns the use of third-party integrations that are hit or miss with the Kajabi platform.

Through her membership — hosted on Kajabi, so you can be confident that the designs and code will work — you get the features you need when you need them.

Says Jodee, “Kajabi is truly amazing at adding new features regularly with their release cycles, but we all appreciate that they are a huge team with a huge priority list and a huge audience. Whereas, I'm heading up my little team with a much smaller workload than the Kajabi guys, so we can quickly make these features ready for you to help you today.

Jonas Fagerberg - CSharp School

Courses offered by CSharp School about website development

If you're looking to learn web development, CSharp School has multiple courses for you. Jonas Fagerberg is based in Stockholm, Sweden and the course currency is in euros.

There are courses that cover HTML, C#, Javascript, JQuery, CSS3, SQL, ASP.NET Core 2.2, more. The blog is a wealth of information as well.

Jason Go - Coding for Kajabi customizations

On his website, Jason Go has a running list of some of his amazing achievements with Kajabi, including everything from embedding checkout forms to timed assessments, chat widgets, and payment integrations.

To say Jason is a wizard at custom Kajabi coding is an understatement. But after you hear his story about how he started this journey, you’ll be both motivated and inspired:

“I probably have the most interesting backstory for becoming a developer for Kajabi-based projects. I have been coding since the early 2000s but went to a different professional path due to not-so-good advice from relatives. Still, in all of my businesses I'm the one who creates the website, sales pages, and I even created a crude learning management system from scratch.“

He continues, “Juggling business and code development is tiring, hence I used Kajabi to let me focus on the business side. My first custom code for my own Kajabi site is a payment integration for our local gateway. That garnered a lot of attention and people started contacting me for various coding projects. Then came the pandemic which closed my business. So my previous part-time Kajabi coding stint became my full time job! Right now I have a coding membership which allows me to teach Kajabians to do custom codes in a very easy way. I also guested in a couple of online courses, teaching how to do custom coding. My tutorial on how to embed checkout forms in landing pages also became a hit. Kajabi opened up new opportunities for me and the best way to show gratitude is to give back to the community through knowledge sharing.”

Jason’s story likely resonates with many people affected by the pandemic, who were feeling uncertain about their ability to transform their knowledge into a business that can bring in a full-time income. Jason and many of the other infopreneurs here are living proof that it can be done, and that it doesn’t need to be cumbersome or complex to see your initiatives through to fruition!

Penny Clements - Penny in your Pocket

A thirst for knowledge and an old computer were the spark that kicked off Penny Clements’ career path as the go-to tech wizard and fix-it girl in her local area. But her love of automation and making things just work better ended up working a little too well — to the point that she made herself redundant in her work, not just once, but four times!

That would be enough to make an ordinary person question their whole career path, but not Penny. She set about creating Penny in your Pocket, a place to not only get gorgeous Kajabi page templates, but also learn how to master Kajabi, get one-on-one coaching, and more.

Her training goes beyond Kajabi tutorials and shows you how to fill in the gaps and do things you never thought possible.

Because Penny “eats, lives and breathes Kajabi,” it’s only natural that she’d host her entire business on the platform as well. So whether you want to learn how to design your own Kajabi templates or you want someone to do all the work for you while still ensuring that your site looks completely unique, Penny in your Pocket is a surefire way to make your page templates look exactly the way you want — no matter what you have to say, share, or sell.

Could you be our next success story?

As you can see, these are just a handful of examples of bright, talented individuals that transformed their expertise into a profitable business, making them a significant part of today’s knowledge economy. Our examples all deal with online coding classes, but the process works the same, no matter what you have to teach or share.

These particular examples illustrate programming rockstars who — despite the competition of countless online classes teaching Python, Javascript, HTML and CSS, Ruby on Rails, data science, or database programming — have carved out a niche and a name for themselves.

Their memberships and student lists continue to grow as more and more satisfied users learn to transform their sites and workflows with the programming solutions they teach in their online coding courses.

Feeling inspired? There’s no better time to join their ranks than now. Kajabi makes it easy for you to create, customize, publish, and market your online course or membership in a way that’s user-friendly, attractive, and professional. No technical experience is needed!
