As a licensed marriage and family therapist, Idit Sharoni has made a career out of helping couples. In addition to her private practice based in Miami, Florida, Idit reaches people around the world as the founder of Relationship Experts, an online program that helps couples navigate the aftermath of infidelity as they commit to staying together, healing, and rebuilding trust. Here’s a snapshot of her business success:

  • Earned over $1.3M in all-time revenue
  • Saw a 150% increase in sales in 2023
  • Generated over 600K downloads of her podcast

The Challenge: Expanding Her Therapy Practice

As a local therapist who worked directly with couples, Idit wanted to support as many people as she could, but she realized her time was limited.

“You can only reach so many people when you're doing hourly-based work because you only have so many hours in a week,” she recalls.

“When I started experiencing success with couples in the aftermath of infidelity, I realized there’s not a lot of support out there and I felt like, wow, this needs to be brought to more people.”

That’s when she started her podcast, Relationships Uncomplicated. Idit wanted to use her podcast as a way to reach more people than she could from her solo practice and provide free advice for couples who needed support. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with people from around the world tuning in and reaching out.

While Idit started the podcast as an organic way to share her expertise, it wasn’t until she began receiving daily feedback from listeners that she realized there was more she could do. She started by adding therapists to her team and training them on her unique approach. But the more responses she received from people, the more she felt pulled to expand her reach even more.

“At first it started as one email saying, ‘you just saved my relationship’ and then I got another email, and then daily emails from people who say something like ‘thank you for giving me this advice,’” she recalls. “That's when I realized that I needed to do something more than recording a podcast whenever I have free time."

"I felt the responsibility that comes with having knowledge to help other people, and that's when I started thinking about courses.”

The Solution: Building an Online Therapy Program

Idit first learned about Kajabi from Amy Porterfield. She took one of Amy’s programs which was hosted on Kajabi and “felt it was very user-friendly and easy.”

She experimented with a couple of other platforms before fully committing to Kajabi, but they didn’t offer the ease or solutions she was looking for.

“The ease of use for me is very essential,” she says. “One, because I did not want to handle the technical side [myself] and two, I did not want to go to one platform for emails and then another platform for funnels and then another platform for courses.”

Idit decided to go with Kajabi to host her online course and coaching program, and has been using it since 2018.

She uses the platform for her three paid programs. The main one is called It's Okay to Stay, but she also offers two secondary programs called Remorse Expression and Ending an Affair which are an entry point for people to learn about her and her approach. Idit also uses the funnels feature for her free guides.

“There are a lot of downloads that go through that funnel,” she says. “The funnels work really well and they also bring us leads to our paid programs.”

Results: Turning Her Expertise Into a 7-Figure Business

Since 2018, Idit has earned an all-time net revenue of over $1.3M — a milestone she says wouldn’t have been possible without the scalability and ease that Kajabi provides.

Kajabi has helped her business increase sales by 150% in 2023 and generate an additional 10% growth in 2024.

“My business before Kajabi was what most people would think about a private practice,” says Idit. “I started as one therapist in a room in Miami, Florida seeing mostly couples. Then I grew my practice and had more therapists working for me.”

Since launching her online therapy programs on Kajabi, Idit and the Relationship Experts team have worked with couples in Dubai, China, Australia, and Europe — practically every country you can imagine.

“It's really amazing for us to experience so many cultures,” she says. “And not just help them and say goodbye, but to actually get their feedback and learn from them.”

Looking Ahead: Continuing to Share Her Expertise

Idit wants to continue helping couples around the world by sharing her knowledge and therapy expertise. What she appreciates most about her online business is that it’s something she has more control over than social channels. Due to her line of work, she wants couples to seek her out and find her content — whether that’s her podcast or the free guides on her website — rather than have her content be pushed on them by social media platforms.

“Social channels are wonderful, but they're not mine,” she says. “I'd much rather have my content be in places where people can still reach it for free, but it's still mine. I want to develop a relationship that I can control.”

She also wants to continue exercising her responsibility to share her knowledge and expertise with people beyond her private practice room in Miami.

“I believe most therapists out there are still unaware of the power we have and the amounts of knowledge and experience we can share with people,” she says. “I don't know of a better way to reach people and really contribute to their lives than by recording a program or a course or giving something for free on a platform like Kajabi.”
