To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re showcasing some Hispanic Kajabi Heroes. Hispanic Heritage Month is between September 15 and October 15 and is a great opportunity to learn about the history and culture and support Hispanic-owned small businesses.

We’re excited to represent a diverse group that serves an even more diverse audience. Some Heroes serve the Spanish-speaking community (of over 450 million native speakers, globally!) while others serve clients across multiple languages or countries.

Read on to learn more about six Hispanic business owners and the knowledge products they have to offer.

Tatiana Arias

Tatiana Arias is a financial happiness (felicidad finacieria) coach from Colombia who serves Spanish-speaking clients. Her dream was to be the first woman to make a seven figure launch in Spanish. She faced doubt from others but persevered and overcame it, achieving her goal in 2018!

Her advice for aspiring coaches is to believe in yourself and work on your mindset. Her group Movimiento Red is for women business owners and her Felicidad sin deudas offering is a method to bring financial tranquility to your life.

Carla Sanchez

Carla Sanchez helps other coaches and business owners scale their businesses. She shared that she knew she wanted more for herself than to be an employee. So, she started her business to live her purpose and share her skills with others to make an impact.

She says, “I believe being a Hispanic entrepreneur is an advantage actually, because the online market I deal with is not over saturated just yet. So I think it has helped me in a tremendous way to become a thought leader and authority in record time. I also believe the Hispanic market is growing fast and my people are understanding the need to create online courses and being in the online space is the way to grow their businesses and live purposefully.”

Her advice to aspiring Hispanic business owners? “Despite any fears and insecurities just say YES to yourself and invest in your dream. The worst that could happen is that you learn from the experience and it makes you a better person. The best thing that could happen is that you impact people’s lives and make an amazing living doing it and feeling fulfilled to live your purpose.”

She has Spanish-language courses on Kajabi, including a Masterclass about course creation, and videos on her YouTube channel

Maria Cristal Taveras

Maria Cristal Taveras is based in the Dominican Republic and studied in Spain, giving her a unique perspective across multiple different Hispanic cultures. She started her digital marketing agency in 2011 and became a university professor in 2018.

In 2019, she founded Faraso Academy which instructs business owners in digital marketing, and went online in 2020 due to the pandemic.

She has live courses about digital marketing, on demand courses on mobile photography, Instagram, and a downloadable social media calendar. These are a goldmine of resources for social media content creators.

She shared how she overcame three challenges to get where she is today:

First, she faced limitations in accepting credit card payments because her home base is in the Dominican Republic. So, she persevered and opened a business in the United States in order to accept payments and provide the best experience for her customers.

Then, after returning to her home country after receiving her master’s degree in 2015, she discovered there was a lot of competition for her services, but with the competition offering very low prices. So, she focused on finding her ideal client that was willing to pay for her services at a fair rate, instead of competing on price.

And, she continues to combat the machismo culture and represents her accomplishments as a qualified businesswoman.

When speaking about how being Hispanic has impacted her entrepreneurial journey, she says, “I grew up instilled with empathy, tenacity, and being bilingual. Every friend, client, acquaintance becomes family, and that has helped me create strong relations with those who trust me. We hustle! A Latino does what it takes and creates his own life opportunities. And that's what I've done in my life, create my own opportunities through which I can transform the lives of others. From my Digital Marketing agency, Solusync and from online academy, Faraso, I want to continue helping others to grow and inspire other Hispanic entrepreneurs to monetize their knowledge and achieve everything they're set out to do.”

She also offers coaching sessions for those who need individualized help. Her goal is to help business owners, including Hispanic entrepreneurs, see the potential of their brands and transform their businesses.
